MILTON - Eddie B. Turner, died on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Beebe Hospital in Lewes. He was 78. He was born on Sept. 3, 1930 in Barney, Ga., to the late Mae Francis Morrison and Hayward Turner. Eddie moved to Lewes, in 1953 and began working at Smith's Fish Factory. He is survived by his wife, Mary Turner; one daughter, Marian Simmons (Roland) of Lewes; three sons, Nathaniel (Waltraud) of Germany, Charles (Monseta) of Richmond, Va., and Michael Turner (Keiyana) of Delmar, Md.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Miller of Georgia and Annie Dickerson of Florida; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Friendship Baptist Church, Lewes, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery, Lewes. Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford.
