GEORGETOWN - Earl L. Slack Jr., age 62, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Baltimore, son of the late Earl L. Slack, Sr. and Thekla C. Slack of Maryland. Mr. Slack enjoyed a long career as a construction inspector for Baltimore County. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Margaret A. (Carr) Slack; a son, Eric L. Slack of New Windsor, Md.; a brother, Paul C. Slack of Columbia, Md.; two sisters-in-law, Mary McCarty and husband Tim and Gerry Shepherd and husband Ray; and two nephews, Jeremiah P. Slack and John H. McCarty. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 North Bedford Street, Georgetown, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Entombment will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, Md. where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mattlind Way, Milford, DE 19963. Condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.parsellfuneralhomes.com.
