Dorothy Helen Morris, 95
PORT PENN - Dorothy Helen Morris, of Port Penn, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark, after a brief illness. She was 95.
Born in Wilmington in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Janie (Bartlett) and Irvin S. Lynch Sr.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Morris Sr.; a son, Carl H. Morris Jr.; and a grandson, Hugh Biddy.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John E. Morris Sr. and his wife Patricia of Middletown, and Gerald L. Morris and his wife Rachel of Port Penn; a sister, Elizabeth Little; 10 grandchildren, John I. Morris, Glenn Morris, Steven Morris, Patty Chase, Penny Czerwinski, John E. Morris Jr., Lorri Hopper, Gale Biddy, Pattyann Chrisakis and Hope Schreoder; 17 great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Judson "Goldie" Goldsborough.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St.,, Middletown, where family and friends may visit from noon-1 p.m.
Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Port Penn.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
