Doris Iona Reed, 82
SEAFORD - Doris Iona Reed of Seaford died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, in Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 82.
Mrs. Reed was born in Laurel, daughter of the late Elwood F. and Dorothy Mae (Donaway) Perdue.
She loved to cook and sew.
Mrs. Reed attended Seaford Wesleyan Church "The Ark."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Mitchell Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Wingate of Seaford, with whom she resided before moving to the nursing home, and Dorothy A. Moore of Arkansas; a son, Charles Mitchell of California; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Phillips of Seaford and Ruth Rementer of Georgetown; two brothers, John Wayne Perdue of Seaford and Preston Perdue of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Seaford Wesleyan Church "The Ark," U.S. 13, where friends may call one hour earlier. Pastor Dave Kiser will officiate.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
Arrangements by the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel.
