Donald R. Carlisle

HARTLY - Donald R. Carlisle, Jr. passed away on Dec. 5, 2017 at home.
Mr. Carlisle had been a life insurance salesman for AIG in Dover, retiring after 30 years of service. He had a green thumb-he enjoyed gardening, growing his own vegetables and plants. He also loved dogs.
Mr. Carlisle is survived by four children, Kenneth Carlisle and his wife Leota of Kentucky, Joel Carlisle of Ohio, Dana R. Carlisle of Harrington and Tonya McVay and her husband Matthew of Washington; one brother, David Carlisle of Hartly; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Tillie.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2107 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
