SEAFORD - Donald L. Wood of Seaford died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in his home. He was 76.
Mr. Wood was born in Madison, Ohio, son of the late Elias Keller and Vesta (Ackworth) Wood.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a woodworker of doors for Mid-Del Overhead Garage Door Co. in Milford.
Mr. Wood enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte M. Hines, in 1999.
He is survived by five sons, Donald Wood and Robert Wood, both of Seaford, David Wood and Charles Wood, both of Milford and Floyd Wood of Harrington; four daughters, Louise Maloney of Camden, Debbie Donovan of Milford, Rose Wood of Daytona, Fla. and Vickie Evans of Dagsboro; five brothers, Willis, Gilbert, Jim, Floyd and Raymond; five sisters, Linda, Vesta May, Mary, Gladys and Edna; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, P.O. 163, Salisbury, MD 21803; or Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
