Dolories 'Dee' L. Jobes, 79 MAGNOLIA - Dolories "Dee" L. Jobes, 79, of Magnolia, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010, at her home with her loving family surrounding her after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 4, 1931, in Kearny, N.J., to the late Albert and Dora Klaus. Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She raised nine children, sold Avon products, enjoyed bingo, knitting and crochet, and reading books. She is survived by sons, Charles Sr. and wife Mary Ann Jobes of Brick, N.J., Joseph A. and wife Joyce Jobes of Magnolia, Donald and wife Linda Jobes of Milford, Edward A. Jobes and companion Melissa of Draper, Va., and Richard W. Jobes I and companion Connie of Dover; daughters, Linda Harvey and fiance Nick Barlow of Magnolia, Barbara J. and husband William Thompson of Magnolia, and Shirley and husband Glenn Truitt of Harrington; 28 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph N. Jobes who died in 2000; and her daughter, Carol Sue Sweeney who died in 2005. Remembrance Services will be noon, Thursday, April 8, at Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901; or Helen Graham Breast Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Wilmington, DE 19801.
