SMYRNA - Diane M. Guy-Williams departed this life Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, and entered peacefully into eternal rest. Diane was born Aug. 7, 1959, in Wilmington to Ruth L. Guy (Gillis) and the late Carl J. Guy, Sr. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Greater Life Christian Church. Diane loved taking care of her family, first and foremost. She was also involved in various community programs and outreach efforts. Diane is survived by her husband of two years, Melvin B. Williams, of Smyrna; one son, Dennis Scott, Jr. (Ruthie), of Townsend; one daughter, Milan L. King, of Smyrna; four brothers, Wayne A. Gillis (Frieda), of Jacksonville, N.C., Carl J. Guy, Jr. (Angela), of Middletown, Bruce L. Guy (Connie), of Dover, and Dimitri C. Guy, of Smyrna; two sisters, Beverly D. Garnett (Tyrone), of Dover, Pippa L. Ashley (Overseer James), of Magnolia. Viewing will be 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Crossroad Christian Church at 4867 N. DuPont Highway Dover, DE 19901. Service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be on Oct. 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Condolences can be sent to www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
