PONDTOWN - Devon Lamar Wright of Pondtown, Md. died on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born on Sept. 1, 1991, he was the son of Tremonte' O. Wright, Sr. of Millington, Md. and Kennita R. Ferrell-Matthews(Derek) of Upper Marlboro, Md. Devon attended Queen Anne's County High School and Frederick Douglas High School. He worked several jobs after high school. Most recently, he worked at Bell's Nursery in Sudlersville, Md. as a crew leader. Devon enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, playing with his pit bulls, and hanging out with his cousins and nephews. He was a member of Bordley Chapel Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers Derrick Ferrell of Chestertown, Md., Tremonte' Wright, Jr. of Centreville, Md., Michael Matthews and Derek Pegram both of Upper Marlboro, Md.; one sister Dontajah Gillis of Upper Marlboro, Md.; maternal grandmother Irene Ferrell of Pondtown, Md.; paternal grandparents Anthony and Betty Whyte of Centreville, Md.; great-grandparents Doris Rochester of Pondtown, Md., Lena Wheeler of Centreville, Md., Harry Wright "Pop Mick" of Centreville, Md., and Warren Brooks of Price, Md.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Chestertown Md. where relatives and friends may call one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Bordley Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 370 West Cypress Street Millington, MD. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
