Deloris D. Yost

DOVER - Deloris D. Yost passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Silverlake Nursing Home. Mrs. Yost was born July 11, 1930 in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Emma Mason. She was a beloved and dedicated wife and mother, and was involved in bowling and Ladies Auxiliary through the VA. Mrs. Yost enjoyed family and friends and loved everyone, she was not one to complain and would always say "I'm OK." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Yost, Sr., and her son, Jack Yost, Jr. Thanks to all the staff at Silver Lake Nursing Home for all their support and help through our journey. Special thanks to her favorite nurse, "Jackie" at Silver Lake, her favorite doctor, Dr. John Luthaniatis at the cancer center and his staff, Dr. Barnett and his staff. She is survived by her adopted families that loved her, Jeanne and Floyd Givens and family, of Dover; Linda and Tom Livingood and family, of Milford. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Cancer Center at Bay Health, 640 S. State Street, Dover, DE, 19901. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
