Delores E. McDowell, 72
BRIDGEVILLE - Delores E. McDowell of Bridgeville died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, after a long illness. She was 72.
She was the daughter of the late Harlan Roach and Alice (Smith) Roach.
Mrs. McDowell was a devout Christian who attended Mount Olive Baptist Church in Bridgeville, until her health prevented her from attending.
She is survived by her companion, Perry Bell, who was her primary caregiver for many years; two sons, Keith Roach and John McDowell Jr. of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Harland Savage of Felton; a sister, Alfreda "Mickey" Cannon of Bridgeville; an uncle, Thelton Smith of Milford; and a devoted friend who was like a sister through the years, Marlise Hughes of Seaford.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olive Baptist Church, Bridgeville. The Rev. Woodrow Evans will officiate.
Burial be private and at the convenience of the family.
