CLEVELAND, Ohio – Delbert LeCompte formerly of Chester, Pa., was summoned by the angels on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. Leaving to celebrate his good life are his devoted wife of 45 years, Shirley (Nee) Bingham; son, Maurice (Dana) of Wyoming, Del.; daughter, Michelle (Eversley) of Norristown, Pa; sister, Paula (Jerry) of New York City, N.Y.; brothers, Leo of Camden, Del. and Ronald (Castella) of Newport, Del.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Children Bernadette and Michael preceded him in death. Delbert retired from the Cleveland School District in 1989. He was an avid reader and world traveler. Delbert received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Delaware State University of Dover, Del. and a Master of Guidance and Counseling from Case Western University of Cleveland, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 341 Saulsbury Road, Dover, DE 19904. Delbert's remains will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery, Cleveland Ohio.
