Delbert G. Lambertson

DOVER - Delbert G. Lambertson passed away on Jan. 11, 2016. He was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Cheswold the son of the late Gilbert and Clara Lambertson. He proudly served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during WWII. Del was an avid golfer and gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also proud of his many years of membership and service in the Masonic Lodge of Smyrna where he was a Past Master. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, May Lambertson; and his daughter, Kathy Mitchell. He is survived by his daughters, Carol Krum and her husband John of Dover and Janice Green and her husband Billy of Somerset, Ky.; his son, David Lambertson of Camden, Del.; and many grandchildren and extended family members. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at 4 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 5 pm. Burial with military honors will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Del. at a later date. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
