On Sept. 25, 2018, Deborah Gayle Beaver passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.
From 1970 until her retirement in 2013, Deborah dedicated her life to enriching the lives of others through education and music. She held multiple teaching roles throughout this time before coming to Delaware in 2001 to teach 1st grade, then music.
Deborah loved spending time with family and friends, Sunday dinners, crocheting, reading, music, church and going on adventures. She always had a positive outlook on life that was inspirational to those fortunate enough to meet her.
Deborah is survived by her brothers, Richard, Don and Jan; her sister, Diane; her seven grandchildren; and her two daughters, Angela and Jessica.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah asked that donations be made to the Central Delaware Relay For Life at relayforlife.org/centralde. A special team has been made up in her memory, Leave It To Beaver – In Debbie's Memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Dover, 301 Walker Road, Dover, DE 19904.
