MILFORD - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David Regis Ensley on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born July 19, 1939 in Maysville, Georgia, to the late John and Georgia Ensley.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school in 1957 and was stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware where he started his family. He remained in Delaware after leaving the military and worked at Stauffer Chemical for 15 years and lastly West Farms before he retired. He continued to return to his home state of Georgia to visit with family and friends, many times taking this trip with his children.
He will be missed by his children, Curtis (Brenda) Ensley, Michael Ensley and partner, Barbara Powell, Robert (Karen) Ensley, Sherry (Jeff) Lighthall; his wife of 27 years, Linda Ensley and her children, John Moore, Jennifer (Damien) McEntee, Matt Moore; his 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; his sister, Gladys Hardy; and numerous other family members and friends.
David will be remembered as a life-long fan of the Atlanta Falcons, an avid bowler winning many trophies and a cruise to Bermuda, a Busch League pool player, and a horseshoe pitcher with family and friends vying to be his partner.
A private family memorial service will be held later this year.
