MILLSBORO - David P. Cummings, of Millsboro passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 after putting up a courageous two year fight with cancer. He was 76. Mr. Cummings was born in Nanticoke, Pa. and then moved to North Brunswick, N.J. in 1960 before retiring to Millsboro in 1997. He had previously owned and operated a chili dog truck in New Jersey. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel in Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Mary (Buksar) Cummings; and his grandson, Timothy Jusino. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Catherine (Smurl) Cummings; children, Bonnie Lynne, Phillip James Cummings, and Rosemary Cummings; grandchildren, Jessica Jusino and Robert Kolesar III; and two great-grandchildren; and many loving friends. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Michael's the Archangel, 202 Edward St., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 OR: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
