David M. McCurley, 56
DOVER, DE - David M. McCurley passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, in his home.
He was born March 14, 1966, in Tucson, Arizona, to Nancy A. Baker, and the late, David R. McCurley.
David and his father owned and operated a construction company for several years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, grilling or cooking. He enjoyed going golfing and shooting pool. David was an avid Vikings fan. He loved animals and they loved him. In his youth he was a member of the Transatlantic Counsel of BSA at Rhein Main Germany. He played baseball and made the All Star teams at Rhein Main. His love of sports lead him to become an umpire for several years for the Camden-Wyoming Little League. If family or friend was in need of help he was the first to volunteer his knowledge and assistance. He could carry on a conversation with anyone and make them feel welcome and at ease.
David is survived by his mother; and four sisters; four nephews and five nieces; four great nephews and ten great nieces; one great great nephew and six great great nieces.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to American Heart Association or COPD Foundation.
Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
