David L. Johnson, IV, got his angel wings at 12:11 p.m. on Aug. 6, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the strongest 3 year old you'll ever meet. Through his struggle, he still found time to enjoy many things in life. He loved the Phillies, penguins and cars. He blessed everyone he met and always had a smile on his face. He had an overwhelming ability to make you strong. He will be missed and loved by many. He was so special that God only gave him to us for three years, and then he called him back home. He is survived by his parents, David L. Johnson and Veronica Davis-Hicks; maternal grandparents, Delta and Andy Smith; and maternal great-grandfather, Leroy Clayville; Paternal grandparents, David L. and Bonnie Lynn Johnson, Margie and John Pierson; two sisters, Lillian Caldwell and Cheyenne Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
