HARBESON - David L. Hudson, of Harbeson, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in his sister's home in Newark, ending his struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was 61. David was born in Milford, son of the late Harry H. and Winifred (Tucker) Hudson. He resided in Harbeson where he owned and operated Hudson's Service Station. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Jay Sloan of Newark; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Laura Hudson and a son, Aaron of Greenwood; nephew, Andy Sloan of Flagstaff, Ariz., and niece, Amy Sloan of Arlington, Va. A graveside funeral will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Harbeson Cemetery, Routes 9 and 5, in Harbeson. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton. The family expresses a heartfelt Thank You to all of David's friends who helped him remain at home as long as possible. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
