David A. Robinson, 54

ATLANTA - David A. Robinson of Atlanta, formerly of Smyrna, Del., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at home. He was 54.

Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Dover, Del., son of the late Alan F. and Charlotte (Everett) Robinson.

He worked as a self-employed carpet installer.

Mr. Robinson was a class of 1971 graduate of Smyrna High School.

While living in the Smyrna area, he enjoyed playing softball with the Smyrna Hawks.

He is survived by a brother, Alan F. Robinson Jr. and his wife Sandra of Smyrna; a sister, Charlan Ryan and her husband Thomas of Smyrna; a stepdaughter, Molly Egbert of Grand Coulee, Wash.; two nieces, Kimberly O'Malley and her husband Michael of Dover and Tanya Shelton and her husband Chris of Richmond, Va.; and two aunts, Mary Baker of Green Brook, N.J., and Katherine Adkins of Sudlersville, Md.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in Odd Fellows Cemetery, DuPont Highway, Smyrna.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.

Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium, Smyrna.
