MILLSBORO - DaShawnta Edward "Shawn" Tingle, of Millsboro, departed this life on Thursday, March 6, 2008, in Millsboro. He was 27.
He was born May 31, 1980, and was the son of Zorro West Sr. and the late Cheryl Tingle Jones.
Shawn attended Indian River High School in Frankford and Northampton High School in Virginia.
His hobbies were fishing, playing basketball and making people laugh.
Shawn leaves to cherish his fond memories his father, Zorro West Sr. and stepmother Barbara of Machipongo, Va.; one sister, Denickia Tingle of Harrisburg, N.C.; two brothers, Donald Hester Jr. of Georgetown and Zorro West Jr. of Machipongo; stepbrother, Jimmie Harmon of Machipongo; stepsister, Rachel Lee of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandmother, Mattie West of Belle Haven, Va.; aunt, Pastor Towanda Thomas and husband Elder Barry of Lincoln; five uncles, Elder Otho Partlow and wife Rosa of Virginia Beach, Va., Sylvester Tingle and wife Angelia of Kannapolis, N.C., Colby West and wife Patricia of Onley, Va., Dorrence West and wife Chestina of Bellhaven, Va., and Benny West and wife Marion of Onancock, Va.; a special friend, Tamara Soots; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. today in St. Matthew's Baptist Church, 9606 Morris Road, in Bishopville, Md., where friends may view two hours prior.
Burial will be in Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery, Millsboro.
