MILFORD - Danny Ray Lee passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017. He was born in Dunn, N.C. on Jun. 24, 1953, and relocated to Milford at an early age.
Danny proudly served as Unit Photographer with the U.S. National Guard from 1971 until 1977. He was employed by DART for more than 20 years. He was their ITMS Application Administrator.
He enjoyed classic cars, NASCAR, football, the outdoors and the beach.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Earl Thomas Lee.
He is survived by his ten year companion and fiancée, Sharon A. McCalister, her children, Tyler (Jen) McCalister of California, and Kyle McCalister of Milford; his mother, Pearl Bock; brother, Jerry Lee; stepbrother, Ken Bock; and Sharon's family.
Danny was loved by his family, many friends and co-workers. He had a special relationship with his late Uncle Jake and Aunt Helen Strahle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 from 2 to 3 p.m. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. and again 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center, 347 Calvary Rd., Milford. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
