DOVER - Daniel E. "Dan" McNulty Jr., of Dover, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a courageous battle with cancer. His beloved wife of 20 years, Janet T. McNulty, was by his side. He was 67.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1941, in Jersey City, N.J., to the late Daniel and Grace Bender McNulty Sr.
Dan was a fun-loving, devoted father to his two daughters and two sons.
He always had a kind word and joke to tell. He loved life and his infectious sense-of-humor was evident to all who knew him.
He graduated from Marist High School in Bayonne, N.J., and St. Peter's College with degree in business.
Dan worked for First Jersey Bank and Merrill Lynch. In 1985, he moved to Delaware where he opened his own executive search business.
He later worked for the Delaware Economic Development Office and, most recently, Kent County Metro Planning.
He is survived by wife, Janet McNulty of Dover; daughters, Cayla D. McNulty and Alyssa B. McNulty, both of Dover; two sons, Dr. Michael McNulty of Syracuse, N.Y. and Dr. Andrew and and his wife Seeyi McNulty of Perth Amboy, N.J.; brother and his wife, Mark A. and Barbara McNulty of Dover; brother and his wife, Brian J. and Gail McNulty of Orlando, Fla.; a brother and his wife, Dennis G. Maureen McNulty of Roselle Park, N.J.; stepdaughter and her husband, Elizabeth and Kenneth Tarbuton of Wilmington; grandson and his fiancee, Kent and Shari; grandchildren, Kimberly and Kyle; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lynda and Jim Forenski; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover.
Burial will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
