Dale Thurman Webb Sr.

FELTON - Dale Thurman Webb Sr., passed away on Monday Aug. 4th, 2014 at Bay Health Hospital in Dover. He was born on Feb. 7, 1939 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Thermond Burwell Webb and Ruth (Crook) Burwell. Originally from Upper Marlboro, Md., Mr. Webb has since resided and retired in Felton, Del. for the past 12 years. Prior to retirement, he worked as an A. P. Burgess electrician for 49 years. Mr. Webb was a longtime member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards; especially the "Hand in Foot" game, and most of all, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Marie Webb. He is survived by his three children, Wendy Orrence and her husband Bill (Brunswick, Md.), Dale Thurman Webb, Jr. and his wife Jane (Felton, Del.), and Diana Pearson and her husband John (Waldorf, Md.); and his five grandchildren, Jessica Lynne Coffee and her boyfriend Joe Hall (Solomons Island, Md.), Desiree Orrence (Brunswick, Md.), Patricia Reynolds and her husband Brett (St. Augustine, Fla.), Joshua Webb (Felton, Del.), and Rebecca Nicole Webb (Felton, Del.). Mr. Webb has been cremated to join his loving wife and soul mate, Elizabeth Marie Webb. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please contact the family for party details and information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to please be made to the Bayhealth Foundation 640 S. State Street Dover, DE 19901. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home in Felton, DE.
