MILLSBORO - Daisy C. Stevenson, of Millsboro, was call home to be with the Lord on December, 3, 2011. Daisy was born on September 4, 1915, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Rev. John and Josephine Canada. For several years, Daisy was a Cosmetologist in Millsboro. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a devoted member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She served on the Usher board, member of United Methodist Women and served as a delegate for the church during conferences. She also taught at Kent County Vocational School in Dover for several years. Daisy was a kind and gentle woman who loved God and she was devoted to her family. Her greatest legacy is her love for the Lord and her children, as she introduced them to the Lord and their children's children. Although we miss her dearly, we are here to celebrate her home going to be with the Lord. Daisy is survived by her daughters, Josephine Stevenson Seals of Millsboro, and Rosemarie Stevenson Daniels of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Alphonso Stevenson, Jr. of Wyncote, Pa., and Douglas Hudson of Magnolia; three daughters-in-laws, Wilhelmina Stevenson, Juanita Stevenson of Memphis, Tenn, and Theo Hudson; one son-in-law, Elton Tyrone Daniels; ten grandchildren, Monica K. Seals, James N. Seals, Jr., Alonda K. Stevenson, Ashley K. Stevenson, David Stevenson, William 'H.B." Stevenson, Jr., Joseph Stevenson, Daniel Stevenson, Deja Hudson, and Lakeshia Brown; five great-grandchildren; and a host of loving and devoted nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Harmony UM Church, 27270 John J. Williams Hwy., Millsboro, DE. 19966, where friends may call 3 hours prior to service.
