Corinne N. Dean, 93 DOVER - Corinne N. Dean, of Dover, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in Westminster Village, Dover. She was 93. She was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Dover, to the late W. Thomas Durham and Maymie Beckett Durham. Mrs. Dean was a teacher for the former City of Wilmington School System for over 20 years, teaching Home Economics in several different schools. Prior to her illness Mrs. Dean thoroughly enjoyed line dancing with the Stepping Seniors, participating with her Red Hatters group, and maintaining family historical records. She was actively involved at the Modern Maturity in Dover, and doing volunteerism, particularly with the Delaware Division of Aging. Mrs. Dean was also an active member of the Forest Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Dean, Aug. 7, 1983; and by five siblings, Dorothy W.D. Carney, Warren J. Durham, Cleo D. Coker, Iona D. Reed, and Donald M. Durham. Mrs. Dean is survived by her brother, Floyd Durham of Dover; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Forest Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4950 Pearson Corner Road, Dover. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, and 12 to 1 p.m., at the Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
