FELTON - Constance L. "Connie" Ivins passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born in Milford, Delaware to Floyd R. and Ruth Webb Hrupsa on November 19, 1964.
Connie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt that enjoyed cooking for her parents and family. She loved traveling with her family on vacations to the beach and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Her passion was her family and she treasured all of those moments when the family had the opportunity to share times together. She was a 1983 graduate of Lake Forest High School. Connie worked for 37 years with the State of Delaware at DelDOT as a Contract/Consultant Control Coordinator.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Bonnie Sharron Ivins.
In addition to her parents; Connie is survived by her husband of 33 years, William W. Ivins, Jr.; daughter, Courtney Lynn Ivins (boyfriend, James Simons); twin sister, Bonnie Yoder (Larry); sister, Susan Welch (Timmy); father-in-law, William W. Ivins, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Tresa Hutchison (Travis) and Dawn Ivins (friend Will Freeman); nephews, Zachery Welch, Ryan Yoder and Hayden Hutchison; nieces, Kara Hutchison, Sierra Thomas and Clara Freeman.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be held at Hopkins Cemetery. All attending will be asked to adhere to the revised mask and social distancing guidelines.
