Clarence Nathaniel Crim, Jr., was born on Jan. 20, 1929, to late Clarence Crim, Sr. and Louise Coleman Crim in Grant Town, W.Va. He departed in life on Feb. 8, 2017, at State Street Assisted Living, Dover. Clarence will always be remembered as a father, a father figure, grandfather, uncle and just Mr. Crim. He was retired from the, U.S. Air Force and Fedaral civil service. He also was a school bus driver for Capital School District. He was an active member of Elks Lodge No.1125 to include being the past Tri-State President for the Delaware, Maryland and Washington D.C. Chapters. He was preceded in death by his late wife of 58 years, Blanche Watson Crim. He is survived by his sister, Jane Wilson, (William), of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Fred Crim, Wimauma, Fla., and Melvin Crim of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Dr. Rose Lee Washington Barnes (Allen), of Germantown, Md.; adopted son, Michael Lassiter, Sr. (Venessa), of Lincoln; special great-niece, Arlana Y. Wright-Harriford (William), of Dover; and a host of nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at Bennie Smith Funeral home in Dover, on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with funeral services starting at 12 p.m.
