Clara Jane (Rogers) Kauffman, 93
GEORGETOWN - Clara Jane (Rogers) Kauffman of Georgetown and Rehoboth Beach died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, in Brandywine Assisted Living Facility, Rehoboth Beach, from heart-related problems. She was 93.
Mrs. Kauffman was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Charles Ross and Mary Parthenia (McJunkin) Rogers.
She spent most of her life living in Freeport, Pa., and Bradenton, Fla.
She was always active in supporting her local library, community activities and her church.
Mrs. Kauffman lived in Georgetown since the late 1970s, where she was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Samuel J. Kauffman; three sisters, Helen Garvin, Wilma Glenn and Mary Margaret "Peg" Addy; and her brother, Charles Raymond Rogers.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Karen K. and Gary McCrea of Georgetown; a son, Richard and Virginia R. Kauffman of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Kimberly K. Bates of Colchester, Conn., Brett A. McCrea of Georgetown and Scot R. Kauffman of Amston, Conn.; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park in western Pennsylvania.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association-Kent County, Delaware, Memorial Fulfillment Center, 777 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15235; or Georgetown Public Library, 10 W. Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
