Charles R. Miller, 75

DOVER - Charles R. Miller of Dover died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, in his home, surrounded by family. He was 75.

Mr. Miller was born May 12, 1931, in Keyser, W.Va., son of the late Roy and Bernice May (Brown) Miller.

He studied piano at Potomac State College in West Virginia and loved classical music.

Mr. Miller was a retired carpenter. He also was a co-founder of the Crumpton, Md., volunteer fire department.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and, in retirement, he spent his time woodworking, traveling and studying history. He liked spending his winters at his home in Arcadia, Fla.

Mr. Miller was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Wilmington Local 626 and the Camden Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Moose.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crew Miller.

He is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Randy and Jan Miller of Dover; two daughters, Brenda Fisher of Dover and Shelly McDaniel of Waldorf, Md.; two grandsons, Joshua Miller and Brandon McDaniel; a granddaughter, Kristen McDaniel; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Yvonne Wilson of San Antonio and Donna Lou Goff of Fairmont, W.Va.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Crumpton Cemetery.
