PITTSVILLE, MD - Charles "Harrison" Megee, Jr., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, in his home. He was 66. Mr. Megee was born in Frankford, Del. on July 1, 1942, son of Charles Harrison and Madelyn Elizabeth (Savage) Megee Sr. He was employed as a truck driver for Sharp Energy/Tri-County Gas for a number of years. For the last six years, he owned and operated Megee Trucking. Harrison volunteered frequently at the Holly Center in Salisbury and was a member of the Laurel American Legion. Most noted for his willingness to lend a helping hand, he enjoyed time with his friends through Nascar, fishing and sporting clays. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Megee is survived by his loving companion of 12 years, Pattie Tingle of Pittsville; his mother, Madelyn Elizabeth Megee of Ocean View; a son, Keith A. Megee of Ocean View; a daughter Kelly Stone and her husband Michael of Bridgeville; and one grandson, Tyler Cannon of Bridgeville. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Harrison's name to the HCI , P.O. Box 1489, Salisbury, MD 21802; or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services, Frankford.
