MAGNOLIA - Charles Gardner Harris, 66, of Magnolia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009. Charles served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division. He was an avid collector of records ranging anywhere from old rock to country to gospel. Charles loved his music but he loved his family more. He always loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Eva L. Harris; five children, Della Lee Burk of Dover, Charles Quillen of Georgetown, Deborah Clendaniel of Ellendale, Charles Harris of Camden, and Anna Forston of Frederica; two brothers and two sisters, Shirley Harris of Georgetown, Barbara Hudson of Harrington, Raymond Harris of Silver Springs, Md., and Milton McCabe of Laurel; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Willow Grove Church of God, 90 Honeysuckle Road, Camden. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Leukemia Research Foundation of Delaware, 203 Bohemia Mill Pond Drive, Middletown, DE, or to the Willow Grove Church of Christ, 90 Honeysuckle Rd., Camden, DE. 19934.
