MASSEY, Md. - Charles Coppage of Massey died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, in his home. He was 85.
Mr. Coppage was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Hartly, Del., son of the late Eugene and Rachael Coppage.
He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator for Maryland Materials of North East for 18 years before retiring in 1986.
Mr. Coppage enjoyed rabbit and goose hunting, attending farm sales and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane (Emory) Coppage in November 1998; three brothers, John Coppage, James Coppage and Freddie Coppage; and a sister, Ida Coppage.
He is survived by a son, Charles "Chuck" Coppage of Massey and a half-brother, Lee Glanden of American Corner; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
