Catherine M. (Hopkins) Davis, 83
MILLSBORO - Catherine M. (Hopkins) Davis of Millsboro died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. She was 83.
Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Andrews) Hopkins.
She enjoyed cooking, babysitting, and watching baseball. The Orioles were her favorite team.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. Church in Millsboro, where she sang in the church No. 2 choir. She and her husband were in the truckers union.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Davis in December 2004.
She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Douglas Patrick and Ada Hobbs of Millsboro; a stepdaughter, Shirley Davis of Millsboro; a brother, Donald Hopkins of Georgetown; four sisters, Ruth Hall and Joyce Rickards, both of Millsboro, Mary Williams of Selbyville and Rachael Powell of Dover; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon Saturday in Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. Church, U.S. 113, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Richard Worthy will officiate.
