Catherine Blackburn, 89 DOVER - Catherine Blackburn, 89, of Dover, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was born on May 20, 1920, in Philadelphia, one of 14 children. Catherine enjoyed life as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Blackburn; and a son, USMC Benjamin Harris. Catherine is survived by five children, Doris Gusko of Dover, Katherine F. Blackburn of Crum Lynne, Pa., James Blackburn of Eddystone, Pa., John Blackburn of Somerset, Pa., and Harry Blackburn of Frederica; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
