Catherine A. 'Kay' Jones, 72

CAMDEN - Catherine A. "Kay" Jones, of Camden, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was 72.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1935, in Kingston, Pa., to the late William and Alice (Bedgeski) James.

Kay had worked at K-Mart, Dover, for 25 years before retiring in 1996.

She enjoyed outings with her K-Mart friends and boating with her sister Judy and special brother-in-law Frank, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Kay was a member of the Magnolia United Methodist Church and was a member of the Harvest Years Senior Center serving as a board member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Jones in 1990; and her brother, Bill James 2006.

She is survived by her son, Bob Jones and his wife Pam of Camden; two daughters, Susan Kogut and her friend Scott Williams of Middletown and Nancy Mock and her husband Bob of Magnolia; a sister, Judy Broccoli and her husband Frank of Wilmington; grandsons, Bobby Jones, Robbie and Matt Mock; a granddaughter, Lindsie Jones; and a loving extended family.

A gathering of family and friends will be 7-9 p.m. today in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Instead of flowers, contributions can be made to the Harvest Years Senior Center, 30 South St., Camden, DE 19934.
