Carole Lee Hastings

SEAFORD - Carole Lee Hastings passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. She was born in Greenwood on Jan. 13, 1940, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Bowden) Hastings.
Mrs. Hastings was a member of Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel for 18 years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and was known for her love of animals. Mrs. Hastings was a loving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren who were the apples of her eye.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hastings was preceded in death by three brothers: Kenneth, Jackie, and Gary Hastings; and two sisters: Ann and Peggy Hastings. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dennis L. Hastings; one sister, Jean Parker of Georgetown; three sons: Keith Jefferson of Seaford, Mark Aaron Jefferson of Sacramento, Calif., and Patrick Sammons of Augusta, Ga.; two daughters: Jeanine Bailey of Queenstown, Md. and Tammy Brown of Delmar, Md.; 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Christ Evangelistic Church, 9802 Camp Road, Laurel, DE 19956, where friends may call beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the services at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hastings' name to Christ Evangelistic Church to the address listed above.
Arrangements are being handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, Seaford, a Parsell Family Funeral Home.
