Vetter Hufty, 73 BRIDGEVILLE - On Oct. 28, Carol Pennypacker Vetter Hufty passed away after a brief illness at the age of 73. A Delaware native, and Miss Bridgeville Delaware 1958, Carol was always known for her arresting beauty, yet had even more depth and grace on the inside. Carol was known for her warmth, her sense of curiosity and her devotion to the ones she loved (creatures great and small). She ran Westside Pharmacy for years in Dover before relocating to West Palm Beach. She had a passion for music, the arts, "thrifting" for treasures and experiencing other cultures-especially the Asian culture. She is survived by her husband John "Jack" Hufty; daughter, Moira Vetter; sisters, Donna Pennypacker and Lillian Bird; nieces, Keely Warnick, Albenie Mitchell and Penelope Hanser; grandchildren, Leo and Vivian Vetter-Watson (who will dearly miss their "Mumsey"), and other loved ones. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Pennypacker; father, Ralph Pennypacker; brother, Jay Pennypacker; sister, Jeanie Pennypacker; nephew, William Pennypacker; cousin, Joy Lee LaRoque; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Frances Archbold Hufty. There will be three services, West Palm Beach, Fla. on Nov. 6, 2013; A service at Bethel Church in Seaford, Del. on Nov. 16, 2013 at 1 p.m.; and a final private service in New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. More important than any donation is a commitment to follow your passions wherever they take you and do good with all you have been blessed with.
