CAMDEN - Carol A. Blaeuer passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at the University of Pennsylvania.
Carol was born Nov. 18, 1945 in Woodbury, N.J. to the late Frank Maglione and Camille Matticola Maglione.
She led her life by love and devotion. Carol was a devoted wife, loving mother, and affectionate Nanny to her grandchildren. Family always came first to Carol, and with all of her strength, determination and courage, she fought these last couple of years to enjoy those precious moments.
Carol started her professional career with IBM, and after moving from South Jersey to Delaware, she entered into her first State of Delaware position working as a secretary for Superior Court Judge Bush. Her loyalty, intelligence, and inventive ideas propelled her through various State positions, and after 35 years she retired as the Director of the Business Industry Education (B.I.E.) Alliance. Carol enjoyed working in the State education system helping children find their path to greatness. She was also a member of the Capitol City Rotary. Carol enjoyed networking and chatting with her friends and colleagues both professionally and personally.
To know her was to love her. Carol left a lasting impression on everyone that crossed her path. If you entered her home, you were family and she fed you and cared for you like her own. Please join us in celebrating this wonderful woman's life.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her dear brother, Louis Maglione.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William Blaeuer of Camden; son, David Blaeuer and his wife Kelly of Smyrna; daughter, Christy Williams and her husband Tyrone of Lindenwold, N.J.; and her precious grandchildren, "Princess" Ashley and her three "Princes" Evan Blaeuer, Dominic and T.J. Williams. Carol is also survived by her loving niece and nephew, Angela Cooper and Brian Maglione.
Both the viewing and service will be held at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road. The viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and the service will begin promptly thereafter.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Carol's name to the American Heart Association, Delaware, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
