SEAFORD - Carlton E. Whaley, age 86, of Seaford, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Carlton owned and operated the Party Corner liquor store in Seaford from 1969 until his retirement in 2014. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a member of Hiram Lodge A F & A M, the Tall Cedars, Ducks Unlimited, the Elks Lodge and the VFW. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy "Dot" Lloyd Whaley; three daughters, Karen Holman (David), Denise Jester (Larry) and Kimberly Carney (David); five grandchildren, Jennifer Stockman (Doug), Lara Hudson (Matthew), Lyndsey Bozick (Shaun), Justin Carney and Kathleen Carney; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Stockman, Hailley Hudson, Lucas Stockman, Siena Bozick, Gracy Hudson, Lyberti Bozick; brothers and sisters, Betty Snyder, Shirley Colona, Richard Whaley, Elaine Cullen, Rebecca Poffenberger, Judy Hastings, Diane White and Dennis Whaley; and his beloved dog, Mitsu; along with many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited, c/o Kevin Pauley, 316 E. Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973.
