Cadet Major Kyle R. Gilliss

Marydel - Cadet Major Kyle R. Gilliss passed away suddenly on Oct. 5, 2018.
At just 18 years old Kyle had accomplished more than many adults. He dreamed of becoming a pilot and serving our country. He was pending enlistment to the U.S. Air Force. He was an FAA licensed student pilot (Private), was a member of the Air Force JROTC and was in the 931st Panther Group at Polytech High School. He was a proud member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilot Association), EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and the Dover Air Force Base Aero Club. He was a graduate of the Polytech High School's Aerospace/Flight Program. His smile could light up a room. Kyle had worked for First State AG Air and Texas Roadhouse.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kaycee T. Gilliss (2004).
Kyle is survived by his loving parents, Donald and Amy Gilliss; siblings, Gage E. Gilliss, Kaitlyn E. Gilliss and Donald "Donnie" Gilliss Jr.; as well as a large extended family, including; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming where a viewing will start at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
