HARRINGTON - Apostle Bruce L. Cannon Sr. of Harrington died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, in Milford. He was 54.
Apostle Cannon was a graduate with his Holy Ghost Degree and was known as the "Word Man."
He was pastor of the Word Alive Ministries, Harrington.
Founder and overseer of No More Walls Ministry and M.F.M. Ministry, Apostle Cannon was a member of the Harrington Lions Club, an instructor for Enlightened Bible Institute and was a renowned preacher and teacher on the Delmarva Peninsula.
He enjoyed antique cars.
Apostle Cannon was a father to many and a true friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Cannon Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Cannon; his mother, Doris Cannon of Bridgeville; two sons, Bruce L. Cannon Jr. of Savannah, Ga., and Carlow Smith of Atlanta; three daughters, Sharon Cannon of Savannah, Cardal Smith of Laurel and Coffy Smith of Millsboro; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Corbert Cannon of Bridgeville, and Wayne Cannon and Wendell and Chanett Cannon, all of Seaford; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Alice and Bryant Bynum of Harrington, Belinda and Michael Welch of Seaford and Bridget Cannon of Seaford; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; two spiritual sons, Pastor Lewis Richards and Bishop Kevin Bull; three spiritual daughters, First Lady Brenda Richards, First Lady Tyvonnia Bull and Pastor Towanda Thomas; and a spiritual father, Bishop E.T. Foreman.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Ave., Harrington, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Lewis Richards will officiate.
