DAGSBORO - Bruce E. Brosnahan of Dagsboro died suddenly Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, surrounded by his loving family. He was 48.
Mr. Brosnahan was born May 30, 1958, in Wilmington, son of Elizabeth (Bamberger) Brosnahan Hartman and the late Cornelius Brosnahan.
With his family, he built a successful elevator company and was the president of Atlantic Elevators of Delaware.
Mr. Brosnahan loved landscaping and gardening and surrounded his home with the beautiful plants he nurtured. He was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly to make all their lives richer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Janice (Lynch) Brosnahan; a daughter, Megan; a son, Eric; a sister, Carol Joseph of Melbourne, Fla.; a brother, Kevin Brosnahan of Clarksville; a sister, Terry Smith of Ocean View; a brother, David Brosnahan of St. George"s; many other family members; and his dog and sidekick, Gus.
A funeral service will be noon Friday in the Bethany Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue, Ocean View, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of ones choice.
