Bradford Mylott, 47
HARTLY - Bradford Mylott, of Hartly, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 47. Mr. Mylott was born Jan. 24, 1962, in Bethesda, Md., to William Mylott and Melbia Harris Mylott. He served his country in the United States Air Force. After the service he worked for 15 years with various airlines including American Eagle Airlines as a pilot. To spend more time with his family, he left the airlines to teach at Flight Safety, International in New Castle. Mr. Mylott served as an active member of APLA – the Air Line Pilots Association, the Delmarva Sportsman's Association in Sudlersville, Md., and the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association. Redeemed by God's grace, Mr. Mylott was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Dover. He enjoyed woodworking and built his own boat, the "Miss Adventure." Mr. Mylott was an avid offshore fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed reading and being at our local beaches. His biggest joy and love was spending time with his family and friends, especially being with his daughter, Savannah. Mr. Mylott is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Randolph Mylott of Hartly; his daughter, Savannah at home; his father, William E. Mylott Sr. and his wife Flo of Williamsburg, Va.; his mother, Melbia H. Smith of Washington, N.C.; brothers, Brian Mylott of Centerville, Md., Brent Mylott of Stevensville, Md., and William E. Mylott Jr. of Sanford, Fla.; his sister, Dawn Plaster of Washington, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 350 McKee Road, Dover. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery, RD 5, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Federal Credit Union, 255 Saulsbury Road, Dover, DE 19904, for Savannah Mylott Education Fund.
