GREENWOOD - Bonnie Grimm Maloney of Greenwood went to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, June 24, 2022 due to a sudden illness.
She was born on July 16, 1948, in Phoenixville, PA; the daughter of the late Lawrence D. Grimm and Doris M. Young Grimm.
Bonnie was a devout Christian and member of Living Hope Fellowship church in Greenwood, Del. She was also a life member of Greenwood Volunteer Fire company with over 25 years as an EMT and Secretary.
Bonnie loved nature and taking care of it. She loved planting and growing flowers and or plants all over her home and yard, along with that she loved arts and crafts. One of her greatest joys always came from helping others whether it was through the church, the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company, volunteering at her children's or grandchildren's schools, or her community. Her other great passion was spending time with her grandbabies and being the absolute best Nana ever. Bonnie's greatest joy and love was spending time with her family, barbecuing, swimming or just talking about life.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Horace Maloney Jr., five children: Victoria Maloney, Stephanie and husband David Miller Sr., Rebecca and her husband Tony Petersen Sr., Horace and wife Valia Maloney and James Maloney; eight grandchildren: David Miller Jr., Adam Miller, Autumn Petersen, Steven Miller, Tony Petersen Jr., Roslyn Maloney, Stella Petersen and Gideon Maloney and two sisters: Donna Grimm and Pamela Forester along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:00 at Greenwood Fire Hall. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 12:00. Interment will follow at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Greenwood Fire Company, Post Office Box 1, Greenwood, DE 19950.
