DOVER - Blanche Edith Brown passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021, surrounded by her grandchildren/caregiver family.
Born on April 15, 1929, Blanche was the second of nine children born to the late Alfred and Helen Daniels.
Blanche was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and spiritual person who loved the Lord, her family and friends and she lived her life accordingly. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in West Atco, New Jersey for many years, where she served actively as a member of the Deaconess Board, the Missionary Board, and Vice President of the Senior Choir. Later, when relocating to Dover, Delaware, she attended the Whatcoat Methodist Church.
Blanche was a very high-spirited, giving, spunky and loving person who enjoyed singing, telling stories, cooking and spending time listening and talking with her family and friends, as she always had a listening ear. She was noted for her hats and was well dressed for any occasion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown; and her sisters, Lydia Daniels, Frances Delores "Lorsie" Short, Margaret Demby; and her brother, Alfred Daniels, Jr.
Blanche leaves to celebrate her life and memory her sisters, Grace Hansley, Barbara Ann Daniels of Dover, Delaware, Carrine Simms of Pemberton, New Jersey; and brother, Isaac Daniels (Ivy); son. James Daniels (Joan); five grandchildren, James "Jimmy" Daniels, Julius Daniels, Sherry Daniels-Pates (Laurence), Christine Travis and Maureen Segura-Cronin; nine great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service Tuesday, September 7, 2021, 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Church of the Living God, 117 N. West Street, Dover, Del. where friends may view beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, Del.
