LAUREL - Blanche C. Culver of Laurel went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at her home in Laurel. She was 82.
She was born in Laurel, daughter of the late Zora C. and Blanche (Boyce) Carey.
Blanche was a homemaker and worked with her husband, Pet, at their nursery in Laurel.
She was a past member of the Laurel Lioness Club.
Blanche is survived by her son, Steven M. Culver and his partner Ron Adams of Salisbury, Md.; a daughter, Denise C. Speicher and her husband Darryl of Laurel; a brother, Linwood Carey of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Nanette Corey of Bridgeville; a granddaughter, Danielle Glunt and her husband David of Laurel; dear friends and extended family, Robert and Linda Seabold of Laurel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pet E. Culver, in 1991; a granddaughter, Joanna Speicher; and her brothers, Everett and Rueben Carey.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel, where a visitation will be held one hour prior.
Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel.
The Rev. John Van Tine will officiate.
