Billy M. Haneline

HARRINGTON - Billy "Bill" M. Haneline, Sr. passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 in Milford Memorial Hospital. Bill was born May 6, 1927 in Mocksville, N.C., son of the late Harrison and Minnie (Beck) Haneline. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Bill worked for Chesapeake Utilities, Dover and later owned and operated Haneline Hess Station in Smyrna and also a corner store on Route 8. He was a past member of the VFW of Camden and past commander of the American Legion of Camden. Bill enjoyed doing yard work, bird watching and was an avid Redskins fan and also NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Connie Haneline; two children, Donna M. Barnett and her fiancé, Hank Waudby, of Milford and Billy Haneline, Jr. of Harrington; three grandchildren, Tonya Graham, Michael Graham and Christopher Haneline; and 10 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
