SMYRNA - Beatrice G. Solloway passed away at Courtland Manor in Dover, on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. Mrs. Solloway was born April 18, 1931 in Frederica, the daughter of the late Watson and Dorothy Green. She retired after many years of work as a Restaurant Manager. Beatrice loved to sew, make crafts, and she was a great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Emerson, Ina McKamey, and Dorothy Collins. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Earl F. Solloway, Sr.; her son, Earl F. Solloway, Jr. of Smyrna; her daughter, Dorothy L. Dempsey and her husband Dick of Dover; two grandchildren, Tucker Dempsey his wife Tonya and their daughter, Alexis of Dover, and Joshua Dempsey of Dover; three sisters, Edna Mitchell of Dover, Effie Romans of Minier, Ill., and Virginia Ball and her husband Ed of Dover; two brothers, Harry Green and his wife Marie of Milford, and Watson Green and his wife Sarah of Viola; and countless nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt Bea. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
