Barbara Prelovsky

DOVER - Barbara Prelovsky of Dover, formerly of N. Plainfield, N.J. died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at Courtland Manor Nursing Home.
Ms. Prelovsky was born April 1, 1942 in Northampton, Mass. to the late Harold C. Smith and Anna Hurteau Smith.
She was a talented artist and craftswomen. Ms. Prelovsky was especially proud of the dollhouse miniatures that she made. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors either in the garden or taking photographs of wildlife.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan LaBonte.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Crider (James) of Dover; granddaughters, Alessandra and Mikayla Jacobsen both of Dover; brothers, David Smith (Geneva) of St. Charles, Mo., Robert Smith (Karen) of Robertsville, Mo., Frank Leahy and Dan Leahy both of Dover and Dennis Leahy of Frederica; her ex-husband, Joseph Prelovsky of Dover; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Center Cemetery in Southampton, Mass. at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue, PO Box 1737, Dover, DE 19903 or your animal rescue of choice.
